Alright everyone, so unless the internet is not really your thing, you probably heard about the Beyonce 22 day diet. You know, the one she did before her legendary Coachella 2018 performance.
It has been a very popular plan, that promotes fitness for women.
It all began when I saw this video here, where Beyonce herself shares her experience with the 22 days nutrition rules and meal plan. She followed the 22 days nutrition rules for 44 days to meet her goals. Which, she obviously nailed. We all saw her astonishing figure during the show.
22 Days Nutrition rules was created by Beyoncé’s trainer, Marco Borges. He’s also a New York Times Best Selling author! The meal plan is a vegan 22 day diet, organic, gluten-free, and soy-free.
They launched a meal delivery service, where you have the option of one, two or three meals either for 5, 10 or 22 days. For 3 meals, 22 days the service costs $609.84 total.
If I’m being totally honest, it’s a couple of hundred dollars above what I would normally spend on food and grocery for just three weeks. But hey, I expected a price like that because if you want the Beyonce body, you pay the Beyonce bills!
Anyways, so my first impression on the Beyonce 22 day diet and the 22days nutrition meal plan is that the menu looks fine. I’m not too much of a picky person when it comes to food. So I thought I’ll be ok with it.
Why I decided to try the Beyonce 22 day diet:
And the point from me trying the Beyonce 22 day diet is to find out if Beyonce’s plant-based diet is a fit for me. I’ve been eating food that isn’t exactly environment-friendly or healthy. And it was time for a lifestyle change. I needed it.
Because even the best workout routine alone won’t do much for your fitness, unless you pair it up with a proper diet plan.
I thought that maybe if this vegan 22 day diet works out well, I might consider going vegan. By works out well I mean feeling well in body and in mind.
Nutrition experts are saying that a vegan diet may actually be the best for a healthy weight loss!
As a quick disclaimer, I’d like to specify that we’re NOT promoting a negative body image here.
And the other reason I tried the Beyonce 22 day diet is that I obviously fell for the advertized idea of actually becoming Beyonce after eating like her.
Don’t judge me please, the woman has a body to die for. Or in her own words: Ya man ain’t never seen a booty like this.
My experience with the 22 days nutrition meal plan:
The three meals I had for one day:
Beyonce’s vegan 22 day diet breakfast: Chia Pudding
So the Beyonce 22 day diet featured a lot of various healthy recipes-good ones actually. Including some really delicious smoothie bowls that I enjoyed so much.
I chose to feature this one breakfast because it was a personal favorite. I used to eat a carb-filled breakfast, which is why I think I spent the rest of my day feeling sluggish and tired without even doing any major activity.
I’m a very skeptical person, so of course, I doubted if this was going to be filling or am I gonna have to starve till I eat a…a salad! I started regretting before even trying it.
But to my surprise, the Beyonce Coachella diet breakfast kept me feeling full. I guess that’s how she could go through all that workout.
Anyway so if you want to make this delicious Beyonce plant-based diet breakfast, I got you covered with these meal ideas . Here’s an adaptation of the vegan 22 day diet recipe:
- 1/4 cup of chia seed
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Soak these ingredients in organic, soy-free, dairy-free, coconut milk. And voila, you’re all set for this Beyonce 22 day diet breakfast!

Beyonce’s vegan 22 day diet lunch: Quinoa Salad
For lunch, I had a delicious Quinoa salad, topped with some of the greatest, healthiest foods, that naturally help you lose weight: tomatoes, cucumber, and spinach. I usually start thinking about lunch barely two hours into work. That day it wasn’t the case. I was feeling weird, like why isn’t my stomach already telling me to fill it with a snack?? SO WEIRD.
Beyoncé’s vegan 22 day diet breakfast was so hunger-satisfying, I almost couldn’t eat my lunch!
But lunch!!! Girl, let me tell you. I felt a Beyoncé energy running through no kidding. I started feeling so light. But at the same I felt full, I didn’t want to eat the brownie I shamelessly bought in case I got hungry.
I have to say that this Beyonce 22 day diet wasn’t bad after all. No starving and more energy. I mean, I think this 22daysnutrition meal plan is actually wisely calculated. The nutritional values of the meal brought in 61% of the recommended daily intake of fiber!
Here’s the meal idea that’ll help you recreate the awesome Beyonce Coachella diet lunch, my favorite healthy salad of all time, the Quinoa salad
- 1/2 cup quinoa
- 1 cup of water
- 1 bunch flat-leaf parsley, washed and chopped, thick stems removed
- 4 Persian cucumbers, peeled in strips, seeded and diced
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced

Beyonce’s plant-based diet dinner: Vegan Hummus Quesadillas
Anybody who knows me knows that I looove Quesadillas. They’re crispy, they’re flavorful and they feel like a hug to me.
Vegan quesadillas??? In the beginning, I thought: Excuse you where’s the cheese? And what monster likes a quesadilla without the cheese?
It was only at that moment that I remembered in a vegan diet you don’t eat cheese, and if you’re a cheese lover like me, let me tell you. It is gonna break your heart a little.
But the truth is, even though the Beyonce 22 day diet took my dearly beloved cheese away, it still offered a variety of delicious stuff.
So if you want to lose weight and still eat whatever you want you actually CAN do that. How? Intermittent Fasting of course!
I’ll give you the secret to perfectly tasty Vegan Hummus Quesadillas, that’ll bring out the Beyonce in you. And not any Beyonce, Coachella Beyonce.
Here’s the recipe. You’re welcome!
- whole wheat tortilla
- 1/4 tsp olive oil
- 1 small garlic clove diced
- 1/4 cup roasted red peppers diced
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1/4 cup hummus
- salt & pepper

The bottom line:
This was an example of what I would eat in a day (+ meal ideas for you) while following the Beyonce 22 day diet. A vegan diet that I initially started in order to improve my overall wellness, but ended up losing some pounds as a good side effect of the Beyonce Coachella diet!
There was no feeling of improvement from day one. I have to admit that it was hard to switch from my usual type of meals to this! But as the first week was coming to an end I felt lighter, more active and energized. The Beyonce plant-based diet also helped me cut on my coffee intake (without even realizing it).
It was hard to only take those three meals at the beginning, but I slowly got used to it with time and ended up feeling GREAT.
Would I recommend this 22daysnutrition meal plan?
It all depends on your goals and dedication. If you’re looking for a quick way to lose weight, this diet may not be for you. But if you’re willing to go through the process of feeling an overall wellness (plus an incredibly healthy skin even without a decent skincare routine) then definitely yes!
P.S: I did not share the actual pictures of my meals because I do not know how the hell angles and lightning function, so they look really bad compared to reality and I didn’t want to mislead you. Okay, thank you for understanding.
I tried my best to share my experience with you, so I hope it helped you understand a little bit more about going vegan for 22 days.
